xpert xpole cleaning: help

Hi everybody, I'm about to take down xpert xpole in order to clean it. I have read I can use glass polisher. And this is for the outside. But what about inner parts? I'm reading on this website "» Once a month you should get some soapy water and clean the screw threads that join the pole sections together (NOT THE AJUSTER BIG SCREW) then apply some WD40 to the threads wiping the excess with a cloth.". Can you give me a longer and detailed explaination? I can't find any Italian guide. Thank you. 🤸

Last page in the booklet that came with my Xpole Xpert under the TROUBLE SHOOTING header: Clean your pole with a glass cleaner or similar non abrasive cleaner. NEVER use water. Use a clean, smooth cloth to both clean and dry the pole tubes. Do not clean with an oil or spray such as WD40 or similar. I think the WD40 thing was for the old screw together ones. Don't use Water Displacement 40 on your X-joint pole. I haven't taken mine down for a real cleaning. I just used glass cleaner on everything when I put it up. I'm curious why you can't use just water on it.

Arianna - Bace is right, those instructions are for the original X-Poles that the pieces screwed together, NOT for the X-Pert. But definitely go with what Bace posted. If all else fails, email X-Pole. I'm curious about the no water thing, myself. 🤔 Will the parts rust or something??? Water wasn't a problem with the original poles...

Yes, tha manual says it's because of rust. I also read pole should be placed in a warm and dry room. I realized I usually use to iron in the room with pole inside. Will it damage my pole? Anyway, taking off the pole I found I had a problem with a jammed xjoint. I hope to find a solution as soon as possible.
