Xpert problem disassembling -- help!!!

Hi everyone! I bought an Xpert just over a year ago, and I realized I don't ever use it. Another girl in my classes is interested in buying and I'm short on cash, so I am happy to sell it to her. Except I can't get it down! I loosened the 3 screws on the adjuster then lowered it, and it won't move at all if the pole is static, and it just turns and turns if spinning (which sounds obvious, but I wanted to make sure haha). I seriously sat spinning it for at least 15 minutes -- I checked. It came down a little bit, I can see a little bit of the top, but it won't move any more at all. Additional info that might help -- it's in my garage. Could something just be stuck from heat or something? If so, how do I check that and how do i fix it?? THANK YOU ALL!
