X pole x pert stuck and I can't take it down

I have had my x pole x pert , which I bought about 7 months ago , up for about 2 months. I went to take it down and I can't loosen it at all, or tighten it for that matter. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Also I can see right near the dome is a small crack in the ceiling so I am freaking out ! What I have done is set it in static mode and loosened the three hex screws and undone the adjuster rod cover . Now when I try to turn it clockwise to loosen it to take it down it will not budge an inch , it won't turn anti clockwise either help !!!!!!!

Worst case scenario is that you unscrew the 2 hex screws that they tell you never to touch. The top 3 (above the adjuster cover) unscrew the pole from A pole, the 2 that are on top of one another under the adjustor cover unscrew the pole from the base. You have to be sure that you re-screw that section into the base when you get it unstuck though or your pole will lose some stability.

I feel you! I have an x pole sitting in my garage as we speak that I cannot loosen. I purchased this pole for about $375 plus I purchased the extender for taller ceilings for a total of $500. I purchased it for parties and just in case I had a party with high ceiling and whatever I do I cannot get it unstuck. It is currently set up only for an 8 foot ceiling. I have been procrastinating however, I have a feeling I have to throw it away. I have since purchased another pole that I found out later is an "imitation" xpole, but that is what I currently use in my house. I am so disappointed. I have tried just about everything but that middle piece is definitely stuck together. Hoping someone has a resolution in this stream that can help me. Thanks.

PolePixi...is yours the old style or the new? The new style has the X Joints and is really easy to get unstuck. If it is the old style you really need to purchase the heavy duty tube release tools. http://xpoleus.com/store/tube-release-tool-2x-p-507.html ; There are a ton of threads on here about how to loosen the threaded style XPoles and what to do to keep them from getting jammed stuck again. Mine is the old style Xpert and I can't undo it- but Dad can. He just undoes it. I just assume its because he's stronger.

I have a new style one with x joints where I have 3 of the pole pieces stuck fast and one has twisted out of alignment with the holes. It has driven me crazy, but I can't get them apart.

I have used Remington gun oil in the aerosol can on the adjuster rod, it worked for me to get the threads working.

Thanks for everyone's input and advice! I called Australia's x pole retailer and they gave me the mobile number of their technician he came to my house in 2 hours as I did not live too far away. He said there was a batch of poles from china that had incorrect parts which caused the top parts not to work together and grind and get stuck. He put in a washer and that fixed it. He also said they would post me a correct piece. I was not home when he fixed it , my partner was , so I am not so sure what he actually did to get it down . So it seems to be a common problem with some at least in Australia. I still don't know why there is a crack he said I had put it right on where the two joists cross where they are perpendicular .
