x pole, joint twisting, pole curving

i have to express my frustration with those x poles, they curve, the joints twist (making the hole innaccessible, when they re on spin mode....they don t look straight anymore i always have problem with them.... so i tought ill just switch cause i have to change all the poles soon, but the original one is fine... SOO i was tinking of platinum stages the super poles.... but last time i did business with them wasnt very impressive they send me a pole with a dent on it and they pretended i did it!! bottom line is... i will have 15 ft ceillings.... what should i do....

Are you sure you're tightening the joints enough? I had a problem with joints twisting the first time I put mine up, but ever since then I've tightened the joints much more than I had thought I needed to. Haven't had a problem since. Maybe that could help? I've never used a Platinum Stages pole, so I really don't know, but just from browsing the forums here, I've overall heard great things about X-Pole (especially their amazing customer service, which I have experienced) and kind of bad things about Platinum Stages. Just my two cents.

i didnt tight them enough in first place i guess, so the hole is faaaarrr away and impossible to bring back....

Yeah, then unfortunately you're going to have to pound it out. Gotta stick a broom handle or something in and just keep pounding it until you feel it loosen and can pull it out. WD-40 helps too. It's hard--you have to pound way harder than you think--but it should work. Mine twisted 180 degrees around and I still got it out.

If you contact Xpole, they will send you the x joint release instructions. Which they do include using a broom! I did the same thing with mine. They told me for poling I should be fine but when its time to take it down its gonna be a PITA from the joints.

hi andreana I changed all the poles at the studio for the "build a pole " ones by x pole they are much more solid and heavy, no more joint problems ( new joints are better) the normal x pert ones are ok for home use but for a studio i wouldnt go back to theese ever again! the poles are still fine.... but they have minimum damage due to the joint who twisted !

Thanks, but can't really afford to buy a new pole. Suppose i will just have to wait and save for a new one :) X

Build-a-Pole is the new way for Studios and also the general market to select and order X-Pole’s Competition/Dual lined poles. Designed for competitive and sustained use these poles have been used for competitions and events across the world for the last 2 years and are now available for direct purchase. Competition poles are now always recommended for Studio/Gym fit outs where poles are used on a daily basis and also where poles are above 11’ in a studio environment.
