X pole ceiling mount---LOVE!

Got my pole up using the ceiling mount. Just a shout out to say how much I LOVE that thing! Makes putting up and down the pole much easier and it is SUPER SOLID! I never trusted the dome, had slippage a few times but this is super secure. Now to get used to chrome.... lol

I need either to screw a 6x4 in between two beams and the mount to that, or a 6x4 screwd to one beam and then the mount to that. If you have any more experience and can help me it would be awesome, Im ordering my pole on monday and I want to know whats best to do
