I am moving house at the weekend and have just tried to takle my x pole down, the nut that sits at the bottom of the adjuster screw is o tight and will not budge so I cannot take pole down, I may have to saw pole in two to get it down!! Any advice please? 🙁

Slightly TIGHTEN your adjuster rod...this actually LOOSENS the nut - then you should be able to easily move the nut up out of the way.

yep, what Empyrean said....make sure its just a tiny bit though, like she said, it shouldn't take much. 😉
Thanks guys my boyfriend actualy loosened it by whacking the spanner with a hammer, phew!!!! 😀

For future reference, if you put it on spinning mode and spin it opposite the way you dance, (I dance right handed, I spun it to the left..) it loosened mine. I don't know how or why, but it worked.
