x-pole spin mode not working.....

I got my x-pole back in november. I've only used it like twice since then on static mode. I lived in a dorm and put it up in there, but the ceilings were warped so it didnt stay up. I'm living back home now so I just started using it. I put it on spin mode and it doesn't work correctly. i unscrew both sides and while it does spin, it is hard to spin and it thuds everytime it goes around. I'm not sure how ot explain it, but you can feel a bump every time the pole makes a full rotation. and it is slow to spin, like something is holding it back. and i know who a spinning pole should feel because my sister has a lil mynx and its very fluid. has anyone had this problem or know if i can do anything ot fix it??? or maybe i just have a faulty x-pole 🙁
