World Pole Comp, near disaster......

Hey guys, did you hear about this!!! Hello All! I have a huge huge disaster! As has become quite common in my life I have a HUGE drama to deal with. I was on vacation from work for a week and my friend and I decided on a whim that we really deserved a break and very spontaneously booked a trip to Mexico to beautiful Puerto Vallarta. I had traveled to Mexico just last month so assumed I would be fine to go again. Lesson? Never, never, never assume you know anything about American visa because you don’t. Well it turns out that mine has expired so i have no status to travel back into the states. It should have been fine but I neglected to travel with a form called the I - 979 which is me permit to work in the states. Wait, it gets worse… The form is in the UK. I gave it to Chris because he needed it to apply for his visa to be able to stay with me. It gets better still… It was Easter long weekend, EVERYTHING was closed from Friday through to Tuesday. So he can´t even courier it to me until tomorrow. So it will arrive here on Thursday morning and I will hopefully be able to fly back to Vegas in the afternoon. Luckily Mexico is considered part of the American continent (along with Canada and the Bahamas) so i will be able to go back into the country so when I have that form but the bad news is I have no visa to travel to Jamaica for the World Pole Dancing Championships! So basically I am on a global search for the first US consulate with an available appointment to get a Visa as you can only do this from outside of the states! Time is of the essence! Wish me luck boys and girls. Hooray! I received my Visa extension form in the post today from UK. Chris had taken it with him there so that he could get his Visa sorted out and join me in Jamaica and so we can continue to live together in Vegas. I had gone back into the US on a Visa Waiver and will be leaving on that when traveling to Jamaica. As soon as I get there I can take my Visa extension to the US Consulate there and apply for a new Visa. Yay! Then I will be allowed to travel back into the US. Thank you for all the kind messages on my blog and on Facebook, they helped me get through a tough few days of uncertainty. Fingers crossed all the Visa stuff runs smoothly from now until the end of the World Pole Dance Championships. God, imagine that! it just wouldnt be right if Felix wasnt there! I am so pleased it all worked out! add this to the list of things that can go very wrong!!! Cant wait to see the highlights from this comp!!
