when i install my pole i cant seem to get it tight enough could this be because its on a carpet and is there anything i can do to fix it

What kind of pole do you have?
xpole

It might just be a little short then?? The xpole only goes 9 feet, you might need an extension maybe? You can buy them from the xpole site.
