Will these shoes last or get destroyed?

I've never bought pole shoes before. I like the following, but know if they're bad choices for poling purposes I like these, but don't know if the chrome on them will easily scratch and get torn up http://www.discountstripper.com/delight-609-fuchsia-metallic-shoe.aspx also like these, but has anyone had trouble with rhinestones falling off their pleaser shoes? http://howcool.com/product/pleaser-shoes/PL-DIAMOND-609

Those both look like great poling shoes. The black ones would have better grip though if that is what you are looking for. The metalic ones would be slicker.

From what I have heard, Pleasers are great but they run quite narrow. If you have narrow feet, they might work great for you. If you have wide feet like me, you may prefer Ellie Brand shoes.

Pleaser usually sends a packet of additional rhinestones with many of their shoes in case you have to replace them. I would think the black ones wouldn't break as easily since you seldom have your heels come in contact with anything. Those with rhinestones on the side of the platform tend to break more often. I have the pink ones...super cute! But as Luvlee said they don't provide any grip at all.

That would be much cheaper...the rhinestone Pleasers are pretty costly. Although theirs are partially embedded so that they are set into the shoe more and may stay in place better. For your first pair, I would strongly suggest any shoes with the clear vinyl instep...those tend to grip the pole best for climbing.

I have two pairs of chrome shoes (pink and silver) and I love the look! Pink chrome wears off with use and underneath isn't as pretty. I bought the silver chrome shoes as practice shoes since they look better when used and beaten up plan on reserving the pink chromes for special use. So you know, they won't be completely wrecked but they won't look as pretty as new. I like the choices!

I had silver chrome and wore it off, it's like white plastic underneath. They look ok in low light, but to fix them I just glittered them ;)

You can replace rhinestones that fall off easily(and yes, they do fall off), and you can get nail polish that is chrome coloured(also the pink chrome colour too)to patch up any scuff marks on both the platform and the upper part of the shoe.

Wow - how cheap they are in the US! They come about twice as much in Germany! I have to say though, I have really narrow feet and I need all my Pleasers to be even more narrow!

I sell both these shoes and I can tell you that 1.) the pink chrome shoes DO scuff VERY easilyhttp://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=460629943999230&set=o.258814114146957&type=3&theater. They are freakin' GORGEOUS in person though and photograph extremely well. I'll post some pics. If you wanted them for photographs or light poling, then I'd say get 'em. The solution that one of my client's and I came up with is to paint glue over top of them to keep them stuck in there; however, the one downside to this is that the glue will take some of the sparkle out of the rhinestones.

Anything chrome gets beat up pretty fast - I've been pretty careful not to wear my chromes a lot so they will last longer. Also - I just wanted to pipe up on DIY rhinestones. The pleaser pair with the rhinestone heel was $57.99 that's actually not that bad of a deal. The shine of the rhinestone comes from the quality - I recommend swarovksi but there are others you can buy that are beautiful but they aren't cheap - atleast $7-8/gross and you might want 2 sizes plus glue add about $3.00 so all in all you are at about $20 in materials and $40 for a basic shoe and you are at $60. So it's not necessarily always cheaper to DIY, plus there is your time. One more thing on rhinestone shoes - if the stones are set in on the shoe they will last longer than gluing them on the surface and thus when repaired will last longer. I haven't found a really great way of fixing rhinestones on the platform part of the shoe -DIY so they stay on - so maybe someone has some advice (I use E600.) The great thinkg about chrome shoes is when you scuff them up real good and that takes awhile - they cover with glitter the best because they are already shiny - so they provide a great base - you can just do a thin coat of glitter onthem and good as new :) But glittering is also not super cheap - you would use a different glue and ofcourse have to buy the glitter and it's messy. But they do refurcish VERY nicely. I highly recommend chromes- even if they scuff because of this :)

for glittering shoes... i've found that modge podge works the best esp if you add a sealant coat. i'm also going to suggest martha stewart glitter because the pieces are so incredibly small it REALLY intensfies the sparkle and def doesn't look homemade as it's hard to see the actualy glitter (I've sold about 20 of these on my Etsy acocunt so seems like ppl agree with me). Pleaser makes some Bordello glitter heels which I have in green and I was really disappointed. The glitter falls off constantly to the point where parts of the shoes are bald and the glitter is very chunky and obvious. also, i've found that some girls who like the glitter look but need to use the vinyl platform and straps to stick to the pole like to purchase the ones where i add a glitter sole to the heel...so it's like your own personalized christian louboutin heels!

Do you have the picture posted on the web somewhere? If you do, right click on it and select copy link address or image address or whatever comes up. Next, click the little box between the U and the 🙂 in the box above. This will open up a box. Right click where it says URL and then paste the link that you just copied off the web. In order for this to work the image that you copy HAS to be a picture file extension. Otherwise, load the photo to your profile and then just link it into this thread.
