X-pole or lil mynx? I am eyeing one of each on craigslist but I can't decide on which one to get. I already have an x-pole that I never take down but this second pole is for the garage. I need to be able to put it up and take it down with ease. Which one should I get?

i have both and my vote is for the lil mynx as far as ease goes...
See and I think the X is easier. The whole pushing while you try to turn the mynx has messed me up on more than one occasion, but the X is kinda top heavy.
I don't have a mynx but I do have the X and it is SOOO easy to take down/put up. If (or when) I get another pole, it will definately be an X!!!

Really? I have a hard time taking my x-pert down. The garage is going to be turned into an entertainment room for the kids so I would have to take down the pole on the weekends so that they can have a clear view of the tv. I've never had a lil lynx but it sounds like it might be easier because of the permanent ceiling mount. I'm torn....
chem--i don't push and turn, i just push and lift it from the mount. granted, i'm not experienced enough with the x, I just got it, but i can easily do the mynx myself and am kinda scared of the x. lol.
my minx won't come down lol I don't think I will ever be able to get it down. Luckily when we put it up we made sure it didn't block the view of the TV. My x pole is easy because I have the vaulted ceiling mount so I just have to screw it up or down.

I don't take my X-pole down often so when I do its a full disassemble and cleaning before it goes back up. I get freaked out by how top heavy it is and always want someone there to help me take it down to make sure it doesn't hit anything. Lil Mynx takes almost no time to put up and take down and I did it alone. You do need some strength to push it up to get it out of the ceiling mount, but not much. Its more finding a place to put it once its down because its all one piece. Mine usually went behind the couch or under the pool table.
I've tried several times to get my minx down, forget it not for love or money is it coming down. usually its when I've decided I'm giving up poling and I swear the pole is like "nope you are stuck with me here for life staring you in the face"
If you have the strength, I think taking a LM down is easier. You just grab the bottom of the pole, lift and move it off of vertical. It's just not very easy to hide once it's down. The x-poles require unscrewing a few screws, unwinding the pole, talking off the dome, etc. to take down. Really though, it's a matter of seconds in difference. I say go with what you want metal-wise for your pole.
I think my minx is jammed, it doesn't lift up, not even for my 6ft1 former army ranger husband.
Sounds like it is jammed. that is weird.

Thanks ladies. I've decided to go for the lil mynx. I really don't like taking the xpole down and neither does hubby. Maybe the lil mynx will be easier for him : ). Going to pick it up today. So exciting!
