Its been raining for weeks! I can't practice, the pole is to slippery. Feels like I lost all my moves and transitions. I´ve tried all the different grips I have in the house and it does not help. Does anyone have tips for the air? is there something to do about it to get it more dry?

Hey Evjo! Well, my immediate thought is that you could get a dehumidifier if you want to, and can afford it. They work fairly well! Living where I do, it's not uncommon to have rain for days or weeks on end. It's very humid here, all the time, so I'm used to it, I suppose! Warming up the pole is pretty key when it's humid out. I've found that it takes at least 15-20 minutes of proper dancing with it to get some good grip- I'm also on powder coat, so it may be a bit different to what you're dancing on.

Thank you! I didn't even know that dehumidifiers existed. Maybe they are not common in Norway;) I´ll check it out! PS: What is powder coat? Is it a grip? I use gorilla grip mostly and sometimes I Tack ( think that the name) is a paste anyway.
Sorry, powder coat is a pole finish! It's very grippy for me, though... sometimes a little too grippy! I've had times when I thought I may not be able to get off the pole with all my skin attached ;) I think that some types of pole grip aid is better for humid climates. Have you tried Dew point? I've never used any grip aids, but I've heard that one is really good!

ah, I see. No never tried Dew point but I have seen in some online shops. I give it a try if this weather continues. This really drives me mad;) Thanks!

Dew point will make skin more moist!! So that would not be a good option for humidity. A dehumidifier is an option and I would say grip aids like Dirty Girl Poletice, this grip aid helps prevent sweat 😊

I second the dehumidifier advice. They are noisy (even the ones that claim to be quiet ones are noisy!) but they make a world of a difference.
