Hello all! I recently successfully completed the Brass Monkey from a Shoulder Mount, but once I get there, Im not sure what to do next besides kick down. What other moves does the Brass Monkey transition into? 🤔 Thanks!

I really like brass monkey, and I had the very same question!! While you're there, you can also hook both knees for a double brass monkey or push out with the arm closest to the pole for Eros (wikipole name). Since you can go into brass monkey from a split grip (straight edge, ayesha), I suspect you could probably come out it that way, too. I think the most common is to hook your free foot on the pole and pull up to a sitting position. I don't think I've ever seen Brass Monkey from a shoulder mount. I guess you twist your body as you invert? Any chance you'd post a video? Mindy
I, too, would be interested in the Brass Monkey from SM..my brain can't process it right now. I usually hook foot, pull up to pole sit or Eros and then Bow and Arrow out

Brass monkey is my nemisis move, but I've seen some great transitions out of it. One is to put both hands behind and go into pencil/lunchbox. The other similar one is to go into marksman. I've also seen people go back into forearm grip, or lower into flag.
Awesome, thanks for the tips! I will be trying the moves I think I can pull off for sure! I have never posted a video but would not be opposed to it! I will work on it over the next few days and get it up here. The funny thing svarri is that when I do the Brass Monkey from the shoulder mount I am on the opposite side I flag on, and cant do the flag from the floor on that side! but I can on the other side! Weird how the body does that! 🤔 Keep posting! Thank you!

Ah, the body is quite weird. I need to learn to be consistant on both sides. There's another thing I should have remembered as I we were only trying it a few weeks ago - brass monkey to scorpio - Sasha K does eros to scorpio at 2:03 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aejSeV6xpsc The trick I remember was twisting round and putting your armpit on the pole, holding on sneakily with your hand then doing the leg switch.
