What is the move that the woman in this video does at 0:24-0:32? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWtRwd4xP6M&feature=feedrec_grec_index (it's right after she does a ckr - she leans back, grabs the pole behind her for support, straightens both legs, rests the leg that was bent in the ckr behind the pole and extends the leg that was straight in the ckr out in front.)

Its the bow and arrow. Veena has a tutorial on this site. It is my move to work on next. What makes it look really cool is when they turn their head to look down and the floor! Scarey!

Oh yeah! Looking down while doing something crazy like lunchbox with their toes touching their head or Jenyne's air walk. lol! I wish my rotator cuffs were loose enough to do that pencil. :( I don't have enough "natural range of motion" that way. Technically it's the pencil and a step before releasing the foot hook.
This is a fun move, Veena has a lesson on the Bow and Arrow :) You can either have both hands gripping the pole below your bottom, or one there and bring the other one down and near your head, I like this second hand placement better cos I can flex my body out more!
Ah yes, I stand corrected. Veena does do the pencil grip in Bow and Arrow at 3:02. *blushes*
Thats interesting about your rotor cuffs heathalynne! I didn't know it was a hard position for some! I found it uncomfortable at first but it feels okay now
Yes, I'm weird. Lol! You know how ppl do that in yoga and pole so easily? Like pencil mount or devotional warrior? I can't raise my hands enough away from my back more than 1 foot. Its even hard for me to clasp my palms flat together. :( I'm thinking it might be bc of my back muscles too but mostly bc of the cuffs.
Aww that sucks! My arms are much more flexible than my legs.. I'm so far away from the splits it's ridiculous lol. Maybe specific stretches will help your arms flex back further :)
Lol, I'm the same with splits! For some reason i can do an almost pole split but on the floor, I'm so far away. SMH! I'm convinced my shoulders are as tight as my hamstrings. You're right about stretches. I asked my yoga studio's owner and she showed me a couple.
