What is the name of this first move?

https://www.studioveena.com/videos/view/50a130e4-a5a4-4db8-8341-66ca0ac37250 I know it's a common entry into the "u-bend" where your legs are together on one side of the pole and your hands are gripping the pole between your thighs with your head down, but I just need the name of this entry. ...also, do you know of any good videos in which it's done so I can improve my form?

I have always known the climbing with your feet as monkey climb. It is also a chinese style climb.

I don't so much mean the climb part as the pose itself afterward where the outside leg swings up into a straddle off the pole (before that leg is hooked)

I can't see videos at work. The studio where I ususally go teaches this as an entry into box splits. When you first place your foot onto the pole you need it in the arch of your foot. This is not an easy move and if you cannot get your body far down in a straddle stretch or if your lower body is longer than your upper body finding the proper positioning is not easy. Try doing a box splt from the floor first....it is going to be the same type of movement. Or if you know how to work on round kicks in karate that will help too.

Yeah I can get into it (the video I posted is my own), I'm mainly trying to work on getting more spin and finding the best placement of my foot and hands relative to each other. I am also not sure how far I should be leaning back because I think when Marlo does it she leans back really far. I also eventually want to work on taking one hand off but I need more practice first.

you mean the part where you stepped up before the cupid? we call it a straddle mount
