Hello! I am opening a pole dancing studio in Connecticut and I am having a hard time finding an insurance company that will cover pole studios. I am looking for liability as well as property coverage. Anyone have any suggestions? If you are a studio owner, who are you using? Your help is greatly appreciated! Michelle a.k.a. "Flygirl"

I get my personal liability through a division of West Bend Mutual insurance. I think the studio I work for gets insurance there as well, but I'm not positive. I'm looking forward to others answers on this topic.

i meant to post this a while back and then just remembered as my bill was due today...LOL http://www.dancestudioinsurance.com speak to caitlyn. they even have a category on the application for "pole dancing". hope that helps 😀

well the more research I do the less I want to open a brick & motar studio, 🙄 but am VERY intrested in doing private lessons and pole partie in peoples homes 🥂 etc so was wondering about what kind of insurance I would need to get and if anyone knew of any reputable companies? ❓ when talked to the insurance have home ins through the price she quoted was astronomical.. 😲 I would spend the money for a stand alone or stage pole gladly so don't have to worry about celings as well as have option of using outdoors, but want to have everything legal and proper. 🫡 I have a house to think about so can't play games w lawsuits. ➡️ I really need to get moving on this as my fear of failure has kept me from really trying for so long, 🙁 I feel a deep disappointment and longing. I'm amazed your insurance agent could even give you a quote. It is very hard to find insurance to cover pole instructors to begin with. I knew someone who was teaching independently, but couldn't find insurance because she wasn't using permanently installed poles. Good luck 🙂
thank you, but yes i was given a quote that was skyhigh. i have no idea where to turn for insurance for my area. most places won't even talk w me after i say pole lessons / parties in peoples houses or even my own.. 😢
