WHAT in the world is this move?!?

But what is that move in the picture, and how would you get into it? Do you have to have a horrifyingly flexible ankle? And who's the dancer? The move looks kind of like a Remi sit but without the other hooked leg--but I could be completely misunderstanding it. It's really blowing my mind.

I would say she got into it from an outside leg hang or something like apprentice or shooting star. It looks like she just brought her foot and ankle around to the front of the pole and hooked it.....not very joint friendly and probably not able to be done without the grip from her boots.

I would imagine that one would need super long legs and/or a skinny pole to do that.

Just tried it, and while I couldn't find a way to get into it gracefully, it isn't that hard. I basically climbed up, hooked the foot around, and leaned over. Yes, there's some ankle flexibility involved. Yes, you sort of need boots (I tried without and it works, but is less secure). There's also a sweet spot between your ankle and your crotch that you need to be in- if you're down your thigh it won't work. So I assume she didn't come into it from a scorpio. I'll be really interested if someone comes up with a good combo. Anyway, I'd attach a photo of me in the move, but I can't so I'm posting it seperately.

I can do the move no probs, have no idea what is called and like Elektra can't make it very graceful... maybe just needs more practice. about combos... I'll try to figure out something ;)
