What's this grip...and how do you do it?!

Ok girls, so check out this video by Sapphirecatzeye at about :22 and tell me if you know the name of this grip, and more importantly how in the world you condition your arm to do that! My arm just doesn't seem to twist that way... LOL yeah she is more bendy than most. I wouldn't try that hold. I have hypermoble joints in my arms and it was painful for me!!! Very cool looking but I would leave that grip to her. 😀

Yes, true true, she is an uber-flexible girl. I'd like to be an uber-flexible girl someday, so if I ever get there maybe I'll come back to this hold ☀️

Ok, so I got my reply from Sapphirecatzeye, and..... "Hello! thank you for your message, glad i could inspire you 🙂 I'm actually double jointed, i havent been able to see anyone else do the wrap that way besides my sister, who is also double jointed, but you might be able to practice flexing your wrists to gain more movement, but be careful!! hope this helps some, and good luck with your pole dancing!" Oh well, guess I'll put this one away!

I remember the first time i subscribed to her channel over a year ago. It was her contortion videos that really hooked me. The way she blends her strength with her flexibility on the pole was was so inspiring to me that her style is definitely a major influence as I start to move past just learning moves and start developing my own thang. She's one of those handful of dancers who just so perfectly emulate what I want to get out of this sport that I find them intimidatingly good. Thank God for the internet, because without it I'd be too scared to talk to to a few of my favorite people here, and even then...you girls and your epic skillz make me want to huddle at your feet sometimes 😂 I get so starstruck with the dancers who take my breath away every time.

That grip is cool alright - but looks like it's only for double-jointed aliens of the Felix variety!! 😂 However, I love this girl's practice space.. the props and the smoke!!! Makes me think about theme-decorating my pole-room!!

That grip was really cool, and I am double jointed in my hands and arms so that is something that perhaps I could work up to. What I've always wanted to know is what is the name of the move she does at 2:00. I first saw Felix Cane do it and I think it looks so beautiful!! Anyone know what it is called???

It looks like the pretzel spin.. but on a spinning pole. I'm sure it has a name as a pose alone.. I *think* (but I'm not sure..) that I've heard it called "Jewelbox" before.. prob because it looks like the pose of the little ballerina in a jewelery box! 💡 And I've also heard it called "Ballerina".. AND "Stag pose". Damn multi-names!! 😂

No, I don't do this grip. I'm not injured anymore....the bicep injury was due to a fall I took (10 months ago) while carrying Henry in his car seat....I had the handle over my left arm and step off our garage steps onto one of my boys scooters. I knew I was falling so without thinking I lifted the seat straight up (about 30 to 40 pounds) I didn't want my baby to fall and hit the ground!! Pretty sure I tore my biceps tendon. I just kinda shook it off and went about my life. I should NOT have done that...at the time I didn't know I had injured myself so badly. Next day I went to a fitness convention and did a bunch of stuff I should not have done with my arm. I did let it rest after that but not long enough. The problem came back when I started to do twisted grip moves, it was too much for my arm at that point. I still will not do them. I saw drs and nothing helped so I did my own rehab and it worked wonderfully. I still keep the split grips to a minimum but its no longer a problem 🥂 If you wanna see my blogging about the injury you can if you go to my page. 🌸
