What's the lowest ceiling height for x-pole?

Hey guys, I'm on the verge of just packing up and finding a new place to live because I want to put my own pole up so badly. However, I really like this house and location. My ceilings are so low, I have a great wooden floored room to spare here which would be a perfect pole room except the ceilings are just over 6ft. The other possible location for my pole is in a small little space where spins wouldn't be doable but the ceiling is a bit higher at just over 7ft. Is it possible? Or should I just finish my thesis and move? 😜 (As you can tell I'm suffering from serious pole withdrawal symptoms tonight 🙁 )

the lowest the ceiling can be is 7 feet, 4 inches. You're better off waiting and finishing your thesis. Sorry, though. 🙁

I heard about ppl using x-poles with lower ceilings. I think you would replace pole B with an extension. But they had ceilings that were around 7ft, so idk. Why don't you call x-pole and ask them if that might be possible for your ceiling height. (or lack thereof, lol 😉 ) Good luck!!

Hmm I think you ladies are right, 7ft 4 seems to be the lowest for an x-pole. Besides, I don't really want a tiny little pole anyway. I like climbing! LOL 😂 It's just that I really want to get the lessons here because they're supposed to be really good and the sample ones look great but there's no point in getting them if I don't have regular access to my pole. I may just have to move in a month or two! Ah well!! 🙄 Thanks Girlies 😀

7'4" is the lowest height for the Xpole as it comes standard...however you can use other extensions to take it as low as 6.5 feet. When using the main section plus a 750 mm extension (instead of the 1000mm section B) you can go as low as 6.5. A better solution would be to buy a 500mm extension and add the 250 to that. This way you hve more flexibility in your height range and can go as high as 10.5 if you wish to some day.

I have a 7 ft even ceiling in my basement (where my pole is) 8ft upstairs. I bought the extension to use down here (its out of the way and gives me my privacy instead of poling in say my living room) anywho. It cost me about a extra $45 dollars for it, but its worth it at times. With tricks its a pain, I just learned my SM, and i have to go so low on the pole before i pull into it so that i dont hit the ceiling, which i have on a couple of occasions. So, you can go to 6 1/2 feet, but remember what your compromising too at the same time..Totally something to think about

Hi I used a 500mm extension and just the A pole (top section) when I took my pole to a club for a friends birthday party, ceiling was so low prob just a touch over 6ft! Was completely secure but limiting for tricks. 🐱 🐱

Hi all! Reviving this thread in hopes of new conversation! I've finally convinced the hubby that I can have a pole in the basement but ceiling height is at 7ft. Just trying to get clairification on what to order from xpole and what others are using. I have emailed xpole but waiting to hear back. Any info is helpful! I'm quite petite and a beginner so high height of a pole isn't an immediate issue for me, just having at home access to practice invert, spins, etc. thank you!!!!

Their website says 7 ft 4 inches with the base, dome and A and B pieces. You'll have to contact them to find out if they have any other way to go shorter if needed.

My ceiling is about 6'9" so a little shorter than yours and I bought the 500mm extension to replace my B pole. With shipping and taxes the extension wound up being around $74 USD for a brass pole. I combined the 500mm extension with my A pole, and the 250mm extension that comes with the pole. I guess I could have gotten away with the 750mm extension...lol! I can see the red indicator line below the adjuster which means the adjuster at the bottom of the pole is at 100mm. X-Pole will be able to advise you which extension is right for you - their customer service is amazing, and I worked with them to find a solution that was right for my pole room! :) If you want a teensy bit of extra space, replacing the dome with a permanent mount might help, however, this involves a bit more installation as you have to screw the mount into a joist. It might also be helpful if there's a temporary pole space in your house with a higher ceiling - a room where you could pole sometimes if you wanted the extra height, but maybe can't keep your pole up there full time. Using a permanent mount will take the hassle out of installing your pole so you're free to put it up and take it down easily. I bought a permanent mount but my fiance won't let me install it, so maybe others can chime in with more insight. My ceiling is a few inches shorter than yours and I'm still able to spin, dance and invert (I'm 5'1", by the way). Although it's workable, I do find my low ceiling a hindrance when it comes to some moves, and basic climbs are not something I can do at home. Another thing to consider is if you're getting a crash mat or using heels, you're going to lose a couple of inches, too. If I had the option I would have my pole set up in a room with higher ceilings, but you do kind of get used to it, and it does force you to be a little more aware of your surroundings, and a little closer to the ground. ;) Lots of ladies on here have poles set up in rooms with low ceilings, and they're all able to make it work. I'm sure they have much better tips than I do!
