Well, that was fun! Fitness assessment at gym

I want to start working with a personal trainer to tone up and (hopefully) lose around 20 pounds OR gain enough muscle to look like I've lost 20 pounds lol. The trainers recommend a fitness assessment first, so they know where you're starting from. I went tonight for mine. Flexibility=golden (though I still can't do the splits....YET) Grip strength=what do you think? π Balance=spot-on (dancing in platform heels must help because once upon a time I had major balance issues!) Cardiovascular=meh, not bad but could use work...haven't done many long cardio sessions since I tweaked my knee big time this past summer Situps=however many you can do in whatever amount of time, I did 50 and she stopped me, told me that would be fine. I was just getting started! Mwahahaha. Chest press=120 pounds. This one was fun. She started me at 30 pounds and said, "OK, tell me how hard that was" -- I said, errrrr....not at all, so she went up 10 pounds, then 20 more, then 20 more, and so on. Each time she looked a little doubtful but kept adding weight. We got to 120 and I figured that was fine. I think I could have gone to 130-140 but wasn't sure how much I needed to save for the balance of the test, haha Chest press repetitions=at 40 pounds, going as many times as possible in however long, she stopped me at 65 reps and told me I clearly didn't need to do any more, that I was just fine there. When we finished she said "sooooo, you're strong. Really strong. What exactly do you DO?" π
