weird yogini bump/lump???

So this might sound funny but I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else. I have just picked up the yogini. 😀 I was feeling great about this until I noticed that I now have a bump of some sort along the side of my stomach muscle. It seems to follow the line of the muscle. It is very painful and I even had to take a few days off. 🙁 This is the second time it has happened after doing this move. The first time I freaked out and thought it was a hernia. It does go away after a few days but WHAT IS IT? 😕 It comes on both sides but mostly the left. If anyone knows what this might be please let me know! It's so crazy.

I have had many different pole injuries that cause me varying levels of concern. I did have bruising and a small cyst on my hip that appeared associated with some aggressive inverted holds that I was doing. Spigelian hernias occur along the edge of the rectus abdominus muscle through the spigelian fascia, which is several inches to the side of the middle of the abdomen. I'm not quite sure from your description, where your injury is located. It would be impossible to diagnose your injury without examining it. You should probably visit a doctor or a sports injury professional for more information if you are concerned. I think if you ignore it, you may risk further injury. Good luck.

Okay, I looked up what that muscle is. It runs along the transverse muscle. It is on the side not the "6 pack" area.

So, I had the "bumps" looked at. They are Trigger points. Just wanted to post this just in case anyone else has had something like this.
