Weird muscle pulsing

Hey guys! So I have been practicing again and have gotten this weird sort of spasm in the muscle on my side/back below my right shoulder. It sort of feels like a spasm, or like the muscle is jumping, or like little beads are being passed though a vein really quickly.... its the strangest feeling!! It doesn't hurt, its just a really weird feeling. But its happening a lot. Anyone else had this or have any idea what it could be??

I get that in random parts of my body quite a bit - almost like a strange throbbing-twitching feeling... kinda hard to describe. I get it in the bend of my knees the most frequently, but I've gotten it on the inside of my foot just under the ankle bone before and other strange places like that... 🤔 😐 No idea what causes it, so I'll be looking for answers myself!

I get that too sometimes. But I noticed that it seems to happen when ive been working out my muscles. Like, maybe they're tired or something? or im overworking them? idk! does yours happen at a particular time, like after you've been doing something?

They're called fasiculations. They're fast twitching in a muscle, usually caused by dehydration or fatigue. 99.9% are totally harmless, but they can sometimes indicate (let me thing about this and not get myself muddled.....!) lower motor neurone conditions (I think thats the right way round, clonus is UMN) but that is VERY unlikely!! plus you wouldn't be able to pole if it was a LMN issue! I get them in my eyelid when i'm dehydrated 😉

Ahhhhhh thanks azzwoo! That would make sense - I'm very bad at keeping myself hydrated overall. I get them in my eyelid sometimes, too. I think I get them the most when I'm trying to sleep, lol.

I get those sometimes, I always call them "flutters" 😛 I've been told that upping your potassium intake can help reduce muscle flutters after a workout - so when I feel it I usually just grab a banana!
