I think it's about time to play on the ceiling. I've seen this done and I'm strong enough and have the balance but of course I have a few questions for those of you who walk in a circle on the ceiling - Is it easier from an elbow grip or forarm grip (is there a benefit to one or the other)? Is it done on static or spin?

I cannot do it but "taught" my instructor how to do it. You HAVE to be on spin mode and should have a really really really strong straight edge http://localhosthttp://www.triagedesign.co.uk/wikipole/images/thumb/e/e3/Straightedge.jpg/200px-Straightedge.jpg She does it with forearm grip because it is easier to grip the pole but if you are more secure with elbow you can do it that way too but that kinda freaks me if you lose your hold. Your straight edge has to be more to the side (not looking at the pole).

yeah, my straight edge is plenty sturdy to do it, it's just the around part I haven't worked with yet. I think that forarm makes the most sense for me if I'm doing it on spin b/c I feel like it's a more secure hold for me. I was thinking that if it's possible on static, an elbow grip might allow more movement around the pole???? Not sure.

You can do it in static. Grip doesn't really matter. Just start higher up the pole so you can get a walk or two all the way around before you've slid too low for your feet to touch. :)
