Split grip ?

I am trying to get my split grip . It’s tough !
This is where I am up to with the dreaded split grip tuck
As you can see they ain’t no tuck happening yet but I would appreciate advice as to whether my basic position is correct or not
I am doing alot of pulling out and away with the top arm and pushing in and down with the bottom arm

It's hard to tell from the angle of the photo but I think you're a bit too close to the pole and high up on the thigh.

Try placing the pole farther from the hip crease, towards the thigh. If you're doing it from the squat make sure your torso is not too close to the pole. Being too close will reduce your leverage.

It should look like this.... I'm leaning back away from the pole creating an angle with my upper body.

I am trying it from standing si mught he easier if I tried it from squatting . It’s all these little subtle adjustments that matter . I will try learning back more and getting the pole further down on my thigh
Thanks - it’s not easy but at least now the legs are leaving the floor for a second so I will keep on working on it
