I bought an authentic 45mm chrome xpole in June, but it’s still so slippery. I use it almost every day for at least half an hour. I use it on spin though so maybe that’s why the coating hasn’t worn off. It’s only sort of usable after being coated in shaving cream and dry hands. It’s so horrible compared to the 38mm brass poles I’m used to at the studio I go to.

So I was thinking of getting it powder coated locally. Wondering if there are any specifics to powder coating, so I can get a finish that is nice and grippy. Thanks in advance!

A good place to start is a shop that does powder coating for motorcycles or smaller items.
