vertical dance online instructor qualification

Hi there, I'm already teching pole dance but i would like to get certified. I was thinking of Vertical Dance online qualification and was wondering, what would you suggest? Has someone experienced kt coates' method? I'm worried because at a certain point it says we are required to shoot an uncut video teaching to at least two students so that she can correct us while teaching.. but..what about the language? I can speak english but if I talk to my students in a foreign language how they will react? has someone gone thorough this?

Back a few years ago when I did it, I had to send in my paperwork and session plans before making the video. She had to approve my lesson plan before I recorded the session.

Hi guys new here! I am looking to get some form of dance teacher qualification, anything to allow me teach in the field. I am a dancer and have taught dance but want to make it official. Can anyone recommend where to start? I'd ideally like to do as much online as possible

discoveries dance has an at home course. I am in the middle of it and so far i like it

Oh thanks for replying! And does that leave you with a qualification to teach? Also if anyone knows the logistics, I an in Ireland, is the cert recognised over here?:-)

The program teaches you how to teach. It's not a certification, but not many programs are. She does have an international option on her website. Mary Ellyn has a certification and you can do the first two stages at home, but you need to go to her for the advanced portion. I don't know anything more about it than that.

I took Discoveries Dance . I have no intention of teaching, I took it so that I could be sure I was protecting myself. It is a great program. I have some injuries and learned how to modify and more important to be safe. And, she does have an international program. I have taken class in various studios in my work travels . Many of those classes were taught by instructors that clearly had zero anatomy or safety training. now if I am in a situation like that I know what to do so I am not getting hurt.
