USPDF East Coast Regional Comp--INFORMATION!

Below is general information regarding the USPDF East Coast Regional Competition 2010. Hopefully this information will be helpful! TRANSPORTATION TO FALLS CHURCH, VA: If you choose to fly in, National (DCA) is closest. If you prefer to take the train, Amtrak goes to Union Station. The studio is about ten miles from there. If you want to take the bus, Vamoose goes to Arlington. We recommend taking a cab from the airport, train station or bus station. It will be a lot cheaper than renting a car and once you get to the hotel, everything is within walking distance. HOTEL ACCOMODATIONS: We have a block of rooms reserved at the TownPlace Suites in Falls Church on Friday, October 2nd, at the discounted rate of $99. The rooms are studio suites and have a queen bed and a sofa bed. The number to the hotel is 888-236-2427; be sure to ask for DivaFit pricing. To reserve online, use discount code DIVDIVA. GETTING AROUND FALLS CHRUCH: The hotel, studio, and theatre are all within walking distance. The hotel and studio are on the same street, and the theatre is around the corner from the studio. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, too. USPDF WEEKEND KICK OFF PARTY:For those of you who are in town on Saturday night, join us at Clare and Don’s at 7pm for a casual kick off party! Stop by to grab some dinner, meet other people in the pole community and, of course, take a spin on the pole we will have set up for the occasion. Clare and Don’s is directly across the street from the State Theatre, you can easily walk there from your hotel. WORKSHOPS: We have workshops scheduled with Brook Notary, Estee Zakar, Jessalynn Medairy, and Karol Helms! Workshops will be held Saturday, October 2nd, and Sunday, October 3rd. Cost is between $50 - $75. To register for workshops, please visit the DivaFit website at http://www.divafitonline.com. All workshops will be held at DivaFit’s Falls Church location. Additonal details can be found on the workshop fliers. THE COMPETITION AND AFTER PARTY: The competition will be held at the State Theatre on Sunday, October 3rd. The event begins at 3pm; doors open at 2:30pm. There is seating on the main level (tables and chairs, and just chairs), plus balcony seating. Tickets are $65 (plus service fee) and may be purchased on the State Theatre website at http://www.thestatetheatre.com. Public parking is directly across the street from the theatre. However, parking is somewhat limited, so we encourage you not to drive to the theatre unless you have to. The after party will also be held right at the State Theatre. Once the competition is over, the after party will begin! The State Theatre has a full menu and bar, so please join us at the after party to celebrate what is sure to be a wonderful competition!
