upper body vs. lower body proportion ratio

Hi Everyone! I would like some of your opinions on the improvement in pole when you body ratios are proportionate. Also, I have a question on weight. I'm 5ft7, 130 lbs. I'm in a healthy weight range but I have found that my lower portion of my body ( with muscle tone) is a little less proportionate than my upper body. I think a lot of it has to do withme being a runner at a young age and contuining to sprint and run. Also, some genetics would come into play. My questions are: 1) Aside from building upper body strength, is my lower body affecting proportion affecting my grip and abilty to spin better? I find that when I spin on a stationary pole I can can go around 1.5- ( 2 times at the most). Sometmes its a smooth spin and other times i look like the pole is controlling me!..eeep 2) Since when I lose weight, and like many other woman, it comes off the hips and lower body first. Would it be more productive in my pole work to lose weight even though Im not overweight, and concentrate on my upper body strength to improve my spins? Or should just building upper body strength do the trick in the end without me losing weight? I figure the less to throw around the easier right? I'd appreciate your opinions! Thanks a bunch!
