EDIT: I've gotten my plans pretty much squared away, but feel free to use this thread if anyone is looking for other people to split cab and hotel costs with. Traveling alone can expensive! 😕

The only factor that prevents me from coming to USPDF is my car. Its still in the garage, needing to be towed to get the transmission rebuilt 😢 If I get my tax $ back quickly (waiting on all my info) then im back on the road and off to USPDF. If im going im coming from Hanover,MD which will take me 3hrs (maybe less depending on how I drive! lol). If anyone wanted to carpool with me and then a bunch of us can book rooms as a group, im game for it.

Oh how I would L OVE to join you in March, but I'm training for my first ever marathon and it's that exact weekend!!! Grrr but hope to join in some events soon - good luck with your travels and have a wonderful time!!!

yea were driving UP so were not really any help there~ but i know once there alot of us are taking cabs so A we dont get lost and B for the after party ^.~ mwahahaha .. oh 😂 😂 😈 😂 😂

Maybe at the very least we can all make an effort to be in the same hotel, even if we don't necessarily share rooms (although that would suck for me because it would be more expensive to have a room by myself). After party? I think I saw that you buy tickets for that at the door, am I right?
oh i dunno i havent seen n e thing on it yet. and as far as hotels go i believe heather is going to reserve us rooms at the marriot down the way

Ok, I took the plunge - I bought my ticket for the show and reserved the last slot for Fleur's workshop. *sigh* Now I have to wait 2 months, grrr! I'd better have plenty of SVers to keep me company! 😜

Foxi, I'm coming down from Canada, I am by myself too, do you wanna meet up and split hotel/cabs costs? I would def. jump on that wagon, I booked Alethea's workshop on the 20th, and I'm on Left Side Orchestra Row S Seat 3 for the competition, I'd like to know who's sitting close to me, please wear deodorant! hahaha.

Wow! So the cheapest rooms in the area are $153 CAD. That plus airfare puts expenses at about $900=$1000 for me 😲 Too rich for my blood right now. 😢 I'm still saving for my daughter's wedding in June! I'll have to start saving for next year! 🙂
well don't know if it's too late to get tickets to the show 🤔 and since never been don't know how seating works(wouldn't want to blow my whole tax return for a show and barley be able to see 🤸 ), but if it's not too late to buy the tickets and won't be sitting in some awkward spot, would love to meet up and share a room w someone/s. no way can afford 153 for a night. on top of transportion, tickets, drinks, food, tips, ect that would be a major hit to the budget. i would be coming from MA. so would probably be coming by bus or train. i would also be by myself so would def need to know someone could meet me at station (as obviously wont have truck and don't want to travel around the city alone.) also if find out soon enouggh might buy that 3rd pole to bring to hotel! 💡 💣 🥂 well just let me know. sounds like it would be a ton of fun! ☀️
@ mini-cooper- you could take the megabus up to nyc. it's very cheap! we are taking it from dc, and although we opted for a pricier time leaving $17 up, there is a departure bus to nyc for just $1.00. They pick up outside of Baltimore... you should check it out!

Hubby really doesnt want me to travel alone, so if I knew folks who were riding up hed be much more comfortable with it.

I need girls who are coming in Thursday and leaving monday (if you're leaving sunday that's cool i guess having it split for 3 days is better than none) but it'd be nice to be able to just split it even. the room is a "double double" so 2 double beds. its $180USD total, a night, which is pretty good for the area and other hotel prices that Ive found. itll be $60 a girl with 3 people and only about $45 a girl if we get 4. if you want in let me know ASAP so it can be booked! see you all there!!!!
