So, I have the original version of tite grip (the non lavendar version.) I am running low and need to order more. I see on the site there is a version I and version II. Is one strogner than the other? I couldn't find anywhere talking about the difference. I need something STRONG!!! http://www.tite-grip.com/buynow.html

At pole convention I wanted to buy some Tite Grip, the original version. The vendor who had it said they were certain what they had was the original, but it wasn't. It's the newer one that dries clear. I don't use tite grip for grip aid, but before poling as an antipersperant for my sweaty hands. I bought two tubes and will use it along with Dry Hands, if needed.. When I'm done with it will decide if I'll get the original version to try and see difference. I just want to try to keep my hand from sweating, the left one only does that, weird. I remember I had the original years ago when I first started poling and remember liking it.
I also need it for sweaty hands. I just do not know which version works better.

Yup, the person working the vendor table also told me original was better and what they had to sell there was the original, NOT! Now I have two tubes of it :(
Do you use multiple layers? Not that it's fun to reapply, but it works for me. For practice I'll put some on before warm up. About a half hour later I'll reapply. Two applications for a practice, maybe three. For a performance I'll apply starting at 2 hours prior. I'll reapply every half hour and little more often just before, about 6-7 applications. That may seem like a lot but I'm willing to do it because I can then trust my hands completely!
Riddle me this. My hands are more slippery after I use tight grip?

Dry hands are slippery because they have no tack. Put A grip aid on.

I'd love feedback about I vs II. I have several of the original bottles left but had considered ordering the new stuff the other day - luckily my power went out as I was ordering :D I've started using a perscription strength anitperspirant at night - Drysol. This is day 2 and the heat and humidity are out of control - I'm still sweating...I heard it can take up to a week for high strength anti perspirants to work so I am hoping that it will kick in soon.
i'm getting a tube of each, original and II. and i ordered a pair of their new gloves.

I'm confused on the tite grip site. I want to order the original, but it shows a picture of the original with a lavender cap and says lavender scented. Is that still original? My current bottle that I bought on amazon doesn't say I or II on it, just tite grip logo and 'for hands and feet that sweat for a better grip'

lavendar is the weaker formulation.

@Amy - I've tried both the original Tite Grip and the lavendar version and I haven't noticed a difference between them personally - if anything, my grip has improved since using the lavendar version, but of course that might have to do with other factors (i.e. I'm also using less grip aid than before so the pole doesn't get as messy/slippery). Anyway, how do you know that the lavendar is the weaker formula? I see it says on Tite Grip's site that the original has "Extra Strength drying power" etc. but as Jasmin46 pointed out it also has a lavendar scent... I'm confused!
I got both TGI &TGII- the only difference in the ingredients lists is TGII has one extra ingredient: "trisodium EDTA". aside from that one thing, the bottles are identical. even the sku numbers are the same. (Note: the cap on I is purple and the cap on II is white... ) I have not opened TGI yet- i have been very satisfied with TGII so far and i am uber sweaty

I worked with the owner to reformulate the "original" TG formula, which used to be orange and leave your hands white and is now being marketed as TG1. The ingredients are nearly the same as the 2 (Lavendar) but the proportions are different. TG1 Original is meant to be targeted towards those with hyperhydrosis and stronger than TG2.
