titanium pole verry slippy

Hello, I have my new x pole titanium for two weeks now. I was used to the X pole chrome. I found the titanium pole verry slippy. I must clean the pole verry often. I didn't have this problem with the chrome one. they say the titanium gives more grip 😕 Is this normal, beacause the titanium pole is new? Marieke
