The Death Lay....... eep!

OK so i've been putting it off for months despite thinking it looks super cool, because just the mere thought of it scares me s***less! However today I have finally grown a pair and decided that when the girls get here on weds I am FINALLY going to try the death lay. I'm waiting till them cos I know they will spot me! Can anyone give me any tips on how to make this as safe and secure as poss so that I don't become the first person to faceplant trying this? 😕 Thanks! Az

The deathlay isn't as scary as it sounds....you just need a good SM into pike hip hold (like your going into a superman) Keep the SM up as high as you can and use the back of...well EVERYTHING... 😂 on your body to press against the ceiling. Please be SUPER careful if you do this on your X pole, I don't really ever do it because the top piece on the X, is just not reliable to grab onto. Don't use that top cover at all!!!

Ditto what veena said. I have pretty low ceilings so I just had my husband stand underneath me with his arms over his head and his hands near my shoulders pressing me upwards. It gave me the sense of safety I needed to try this move. It is freeking scary to try the first few times.

I GOT IT!! ok so it was a bit low and I need to get it flatter to the ceiling, but its done! woop woop! so excited! 🥂

ok so not trying DL just yet, but would like to build into it by getting into superman fron shoulder mount. any advice on this. i am very comfortable with both SH. Mt. and Sman, but dont seem to get into a position where i can end in SM when doing sh mt. i get into superman from gemini, thigh hold or split grip aysha.. help? ❓ 💣
