TG handspring and TG Ayesha the same?

This may be a silly question but are the twisted grip Ayesha and twisted grip handspring the same thing? Likewise the true grip handspring and the splitgrip Ayesha? I know they have different names for everything depending on where you look but cant believe this hasn't been mentioned before. They look the same to me. I know an Ayesha is usually done with an elbow grip but once you do it with a twisted grip it becomes a twisted grip handspring right??

The endresult is the same, but the way of achieving it is different. Handspring is from the floor kicking (or deadlifting, if you're strong enough, but I guess then it's a Deadlift xD) upwards. Ayesha: you're already on the pole going into the Ayesha from a different trick (like inverted crucifix). So my definition is: Handspring is the movement from the floor kicking up into the ayesha. And the Ayesha is the trick you do when the Handspring is done and you're upside down. :) So Handspring is just a different method to get into the Ayesha.

In my head also, I think of the handspring as the mount (from floor) and Ayesha as getting into the move from on the pole. But the instructors and students at my studio call both "handspring" and never use the term "Ayesha". Confusing, right!?

Plus to add to the confusion there is the cartwheel mount!!

Ok now i understand. I did always think of the handspring as a transitional move but as opposed to the end result but wasn't too sure. Guess i should work on my Ayesha before my handspring then. Cheers guys.
