I got to think.. Swinging pole would be fun. How and where can I get one though? Could I ever make one???

I have started seeing these pop up. I know that Benjamin Cameron Hunt had taken an XPole, drilled the top of it and strung it up with wire from a lyra swivel mount. The Lady Satine (look her up on facebook) was just playing on one the other day and I know Pantera has been videoed on one.
The veener veena mentioned did a DIY one. I know omni gym is in the process of making one for their rig as well.
Get tube, have a loop welded nicely to the top by a professional and a plastic (or other) cap put on the bottom. Done.
Any apparatus maker can fabricate, or a welder. Not sure how expensive shipping is, but Brett Copes with Fight or Flight Entertainment out of Las Vegas builds a sectional pole, so it can ship/travel in multiple pieces (I have seen models with 3' sections or 4' sections). I have played on one, and it was awesome. One thing about it though, it's not made of highly polished mirror finished metal. So it doesn't feel like an xpole, LM or PS pole. But it was really cool because he has different options for the bottom. Can have a wood platform, or a T-bar, or really, anything you want to connect. One of the first ones he made was connected to a carousel pony!
Brett Copes is amazing! I have multiple apparatus from him and they are all really well made. He makes a lyra topper for x-stage poles that I am in love with!
If and when I ever get an aerial pole, I plan to go with his model, because I need it to be able to travel well.
