Hello ladies I am new here and have a question for you. First off when I am trying moves I don't know if it is cause I am nervous but my hands sweat alot and I looked all over town for this grip tight stuff and couldn't find it. I keep a towel by me and it makes it a bit better but what do you guys use? Thanks

I use Dry Hands, a grip aide which works wonderfully! I buy direct from the distributor online @ http://www.dryhands.com. I have also heard that Tite Grip http://www.tite-grip.com/ is very good for people with sweaty hands but I've never tried it. Also, I have a microfiber cloth that I use to wipe down my pole and my hands, and it is much more effective than a regular towel or rag. Good luck!

Here are a bunch of things I've heard: -Mighty Grip -Tite Grip -Dry hands -baby powder -rubbing alcohol (on pole and hands) -candle wax on pole I've tried a few of these. Baby powder sucks for me; my hands continue to sweat and it just makes a clumpy wet mess on my hands and the pole. Dry Hands is great until my hands start sweating again; it doesn't stop the sweat for me and it makes a film on my hands and comes off on the pole, too. Rubbing alcohol is nice because it leaves your hands feeling more natural-like (because there's nothing really left on them), but once again, my hands still continue to sweat and it makes a greasy film on the pole. I would recommend the Dry Hands or rubbing alcohol, even though they're not 100% for me. I'm going to try that candle wax thing next... 🙄
wow, am i glad you posted this topic! i've been having the same problem! it seems like i have to wipe down my pole AND my hands between each move! ugh!
I was going to try the baby powder but figured it would get clumpy so I am going to try everything suggested
Resin/Rosin (yellow crystal powder stuff) like ballet dancers use, they have it in pole studios Gymnasts' chalk Gloves in matte (so you can spin with them on) or gloss (so you stick tight) Itac or other wax based product It depends what type of pole you're using and how old/scratched up it is. I have to use gloves a lot of the time at home on my relatively new x-pole, but in the studio I can sometimes go a whole class without any product (but then of course, I can also sweat SO bad with anxiety that my gloves get soaked inside out, the tac doesn't work, dry hands doesn't work, resin doesn't work and I just slip slip slip all day long)

Yeah, this damn hand sweating thing is for the birds. I'm strong enough to do tons of moves but when my hands are the slightest bit sweaty I can't do anything. I poled all throughout the fall and never had to use anything for grip but now that it's cold and dry I am having to use it more and more.
Ive tried just about everything. I started with baby powder it worked until I got sweaty again. Ive tried dry hands which was awesome! Ive also covered the pole in shaving cream which im now trying to break my habit for the competition coming up. Ive done corn huskers lotion and rubbing alcohol too. What I have found that worked recently was washing my hands in antibacterial soap. It strips everything off my hands including the sweat. I was having climbing drama lately and I went to wash my hands to test out my theory and it worked!
Oh yeah! I use a facial cleanser (that really dries my skin out and attacks blemishes) on my hands and legs if I've been using lotion or am just really sweaty and that works a treat too! I've used toner on my legs too. The thought of one day performing or competing and horrifically having a sweaty hands attack freaks me the hell out.
