Stupid, evil, nasty pole!!

Just a rant - I started the next level in my class this week and it was just my luck that I got stuck with the nasty pole. I've only ever really used chrome, my own pole is chrome and the ones I used in my two previous courses were also chrome. But lastnight I used some stupid, different type of metal and while it is wonderfully stable and the perfect width it literally pulled my skin off 😢 The skin on my wrist is all chaffed off and my arm looks burnt 😈 The other intermediate girl was even worse though, the skin on her hand was damaged very badly. I know it's not a huge deal and it's most likely just a case of our skin needing to get used to the different metal but I DEFINITELY prefer chrome. Without a doubt. What type of pole could it be? I know it isn't brass and it's not chrome.
