Stripped x-pole

I just started using my x-pole....and after about puting it up and taking it down a dozen times...one of the peices scew in section is completely stripped....it will no longer screw in tight. Has anyone else had this problem? What could cause this problem? and why after so few uses is it already stripped?? I'm bummed!
