So I'm trying to decide what color to paint my pole room and was going on different pole studio sites tonight. When I went on Be Spun's I saw this DVD for sale and wondered if anyone had tried it......I like Veena's stretching lessons a lot but was curious: http://bendability.myshopify.com/products/stretching-for-pole-dancers

I have a lot of stretching dvds, including this one. I hate to say it but that's the only one I never really use. I don't like the order of the exercises, my muscles get cold while following it, and I don't feel that it would improve my flexibility if I did it more often. I judge stretching routines on whether I can do the splits after following it one time or not (I got my first splits 6 months ago, I just need some stretching to get into them). Veenas routine, Aletheas dvds and the Valentino Brothers dvds all get me into the splits - the Bespun one does not. Now this dvd doesn't intend to be splits specific, they do more of a whole body stretching. But with only 15 exercises in total, for me no body part really gets stretched ..

I got some use out of this DVD but I am not challenged by it. I still like the DVD but rarely use it. It has an instruction on how to do the stretch. Then there is a run through of the stretches where it briefly displays the stretch and then has a countdown for you to execute the stretch. For total body flexibility I adore Felix Cane's Flexibility DVD. I found it to have beautiful production and flow. For focusing on lower body/splits flexibility I love Alethea's pure splits.
I agree with the other posters that this DVD is not very useful- the stretches were nothing new, and there was nothing particularly good about the way they were presented. I haven't tried either Alethea's or Felix's DVDs, but I will be getting copies now!

I have that one too and it is not going to increase your flexibility really. I like Veena's lessons and Alethea Austin's stretching dvds. Valentino Brothers also have good ones.
