stretches for splits and general flexibility

Help!!! Could someone write the names down of the stretches to do for splits and general flexibility .I just seem to get in to a routine with stretches.. even pictures, videos. need to see the stretches..or names so can find them on the internet.. If anyone has a video or pictures diary or daily stretches they do would be great... I need to make a start but not knowing where to start I am just not bothering.. Thanks 🙂

Hi Sues, no idea if this helps but i've recently started Bikram Yoga, it's a series of 26 yoga poses in a really hot room designed to help you with strength and flexibility. The first session was really hard and I could tell me muscles were screaming at me but 3 days later at my second class, I could hold the poses and my hanstrings were noticably happier about being stretched. No idea if it's reached Peterborough...Yoga is good in general for this but doing it in a hot room decreases the chance of your hurting yourself apparently and makes your muscles more pliable, my split is already looking better. Sues, Join us in chat on Tuesday night at 8pm here - we do European Bendy Buddies and we all stretch together for front and side splits. It's always good fun if you can make it, and if you don't already have a good idea about which stretches to do then it will definitely give you some ideas :)

Thanks polekitten.. not heard of that, but will look into it.. did go for a taster session doing Pilates... due to being Ill for a few weeks didn't make it back.. I do need to get out there and get in to some classes.. for motivation too... Amaranth.. its a date! Tuesday night 8pm. I will be here. I didnt know about that... thanks for sharing that with me..🙂

woww, just looking up Bikram yoga on the Internet. I think I would die! ha ! They do Bikram yoga in Leicester .. Do you do this weekly, monthly??

My SO bought me 10 classes of hot yoga. I've been to one and honestly I haven;t been back. I thought my asthma was long gone and conquered, until I stepped foot into that room. Not sure what to do with the rest of the classes since it's non transferable.
