So I have a stress fracture on the top of my foot....could climbing have done that?

A LOT of things can cause that, but I wouldn't rule out poling lol. Wishing you quick healing!
Uh oh, sounds sore :( really can't give you any advice I don't have enough knowledge of the pole world yet still learning lol but my right foot has a permanent bruise on it I'm hoping it doesn't happen to me also.
Irish, make sure you are using your whole leg and not JUST the foot. You should be fine.
