Hi iv just noticed a hard pea sized lump on the back of my leg just above the knee pit area. Its sore to touch and it kinda moves a litle bit, its inside my leg rather than on the surface of the skin. Iv been doing a lot of geminis recently so thats prob the cause but does anyone know what it is and how to get rid of it? 🤔

I have no idea what it is! BUT I was doing a lot of geminis and I had the same problem! I just gave the geminis a break for a while and it disappeared and has never game back again. Someone else will probably be able to tell you what it is and what causes it. 😉
Hey I used to get this all the time with thai boxing (and still do, for that matter) I'm sure someone else can explain it better than me, but essentially what's happend is a calcium deposit has formed where you have had a lot of bruising (or, in the case of thai boxing, got hit 🙂 ), and generally forms because the excess blood hasn't totally gone away. This is very common and totally harmless, if you want to get rid of it, you just need to massage the lump/knot area (a lot), it will take a while but will eventually go away. I've got loads up and down both my shins from 6 years of kicking pads and sparring! If you want to stop this from happening again (or as much), just remember bad bruising doesn't always just magically disappear, if you do have quite a bad one (s), rub it out gently in the shower/bath/steamroon to ensure all of the excess blood under the skin is dispersed (ew right!)

polegrrrl thanks for the info! I too have had this happen to me but in different areas of my body. A while back i got one on my hip from doing the hiphold, then on my waist/stomach from yogini, & also on my bicep from the teddy. After the last one, I realized that this happened when the pole was rather cold, & so i had to squeeze tighter than usual in order to get the appropriate grip from the move. So maybe one way to avoid this is to make sure your pole is really warm! The lumps eventually went away, but it's good to know that they're not really harmful. 😀 😛
Thanks everyone I had a sneaky suspicion it could b some sort of calcium deposit from a bang or pressure. I have similar ones at the bottom of some of my fingers were the finger meets the hand,had them a few years now. But yeh ill try massaging it to see if it goes away...it just feels so weird! Lol
I have one of those but I've had it for years, long before my body had seen any pole action.. The Dr thinks it is a cyst but because of where it is, they won't remove it cos it's a tricky spot to heal/stitch and the stitches would keep tearing..
