Stiff spinning mode?

Hey there everyone, its been a while since I was last on here so I hope you're all doing good 🙂 Got a slight problem and wondered if anyone could help me? I've always been taught on a static pole by my instructor...and whenever I practice on my chrome x-pole at home I've always used static. Recently though I though I'd have a go on spinning mode, just to get a feel for it. So I unscrewed the hex joints until they were flush (as it states in the instructions) and gave the pole a bit of a spin with my hands. It could be just me, but I've seen dancers use spinny mode on a lot of youtube videos and they seem to spin a lot more freely and quickly, but when I did a basic spin on my pole it felt quite stiff and didn't spin very freely at all, even when I do a basic walk around it it still doesn't move much! 😢 I know that over tightening the pole can cause this but I did a double check and it doesn't seem over tight, just enough to stop it from falling or moving. My x-pole is set up in my bedroom which has carpet laid down...could this affect it much? 🤔 🤔 any advice or tips would be much appreciated 🌸 Thanks guys! 👽 X
