I am looking into buying a removable stationary/Spinning pole. I have had the chance to try my friends X-pole, which was nice. However I was looking into brass so I wanted to get a Platinum stages one. How smooth is the spin mode on it?

IMO the Platinum stage spins a little faster than x-pole....I like a fast spin! 😀

Yup what Roxy said! AND...I love how easy it is to go from static to spin on the ps (that's about the only thing I like about their poles.)
Charley, Do you prefer the X-Pole or PS overall? I am rather torn. I do like the idea of it spinning faster. I don't know anyone around me who has a PS pole, only X-Pole.

The problem with PS poles is that they are not always manufactured well and more recently my studio ordered 4 poles to sell from PS - all 4 had issues. One of them was a brass removeable and it had deep thick scratches through it. We had issues with parts not fitting, the threading isn't consistant and I have heard the way they load from the bottom is pretty difficult too. If you can - get the old model PS poles...but they sometimes will give you a hard time if you want the old model. The old PS pole was great - the new ones I just don't like. I do have a new x-pole and that wasn't without issue either but it was easily rectified and X-pole customer service is great - they don't treat you badly or try to pin the failure on you. PS pole DO spin better and it's probably less issue if you get a one piece pole from them -which is what I would do. Their multi piece poles are way to inconsistant in quality.

I have the old school PS Brass pole, and I love it!! When I ordered it, I had to request the top loading version, otherwise they would have sent the new bottom loading pole. I have heard people say that the new version is convertible to a top or bottom loading pole though, but I'm not sure of the quality. If you are going to go with PS, definitely stick to a one piece though. The multi-piece poles have all sorts of problems, like Charley said. I think that X-pole is coming out with brass multi-piece poles soon, but in my experience, both companies have had issues with their products when they've introduced new models.
Thank you! I want to stick with a multi piece because I need it to fit different room heights. I think I may just go with the X-pole and if they don't come out with brass in the next little bit I will settle for titanium gold.

We were both taught on brass (EnglishMuffin and I are both Xpose clients. Shes now an instructor) so it should be good. Im a big fan of chrome. Everytime ive tried chrome ive sticked really nicely to it.
