slippy pole!!

Hi everyone, Im french and i recently started poledancing and bought a chrome Xpole. The problem is that, i cant really use it because its very very slippy! Everybody talks about ''break in'' but i dont really know what it means and what i can do... i try with alcohol but it doesnt seem to work, i think its because my pole is new and its quite cold in my flat and i cant make it so warm because the isolation is rubbish... I tried to put a heater next to the pole but it stays cold.. 🙁 If somebody has got some tips!! Thank you; Audrey
