I feel like i cant hold myself up on the pole because my hands keep slipping! I ordered some powder to put on before i get on it, but that still doesnt work =/ What do i do?!

There are many threads on here about this very topic. Aerial Amy also did a great blog on grip aids which includes reviews of anti-sweat products. I'll tell you what my favorite is though, it's Tite Grip! It is an intense anti-perspirant for the hands (and feet, if you'd like). It works so well for me. For a practice I'll use 2-3 applications throughout. Some practices I only need one. It depends on the temperature of the room and poles, if I'm trying new stuff, or working on high difficulty stuff. For a performance (when anxieties are higher and therefore sweat probability is high), I'll use about 8 or so applications, starting 2 hours before the event. This may seem like many applications, but I use a dime size amount each time. Dry Hands is another product that many like, but I found that I had to reapply it many more times than Tite Grip. Tite Grip also doesn't leave any residue on you or your clothes. There are other products available, but Tite Grip is and always will be my go-to grip aid. Hope that helps! :)

I've had major slip issues. I have a new pole and it's pretty warm in my house so I'm blaming the pole. I purchase Dry Hands from Amazon but have not used it yet. I've just played on the new pole here and there so far. I do have sweat issues in my hands and feet so I made the purchase prior to pole arrival. I hope it's as good as I hear it is. I keep towels close by and I am constantly wiping my hands, to the point a routine is out of the question right now.

Is your pole new? I feel like people say that there's a coating on it that you kind of have to work through or clean through before you can get a feeling for the real grip. :-) Are you definitely slipping because of sweat? Maybe you just need to warm up the pole. :-) I have the worst time gripping in the winter even for two-handed spins, and then in the summer, it's like...one walk around the pole and I'm destined to do just climbs and tricks for the rest of the session.

Sounds like a happy pole! lol I have nerve disorder that causes the increased sweating and the heat isn't helping. Keep a fan in my pole room... it helps
