Just wondering if anyone's seen the move at about 2:00 before: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MWR8rjSb8Ck&feature=youtu.be ; It's kind of like an EG back planche. I'm surprised she does it with her legs together, because I would think it would be much more difficult that way. Then again, what can't she do?

It was the extension I was interested in. I have a guide from the International Pole Dance Fitness Association from 2010 that lists the pose in your photo as a "back ayesha," so I think that's been around for a few years, but I've never seen it extended before. In fact, I tried it this morning (I've been practicing both the back ayesha and the pencil extension for about six months, so I felt I had enough of the building blocks to give it a go) and it is every bit as hard as it looks!

yep it is very hard, but once you find the right point of ballance, just need abbs of steel to hold it ;) I can do it so you'll get it too :)

OMG! this is one of my favortie moves! I had thought it was possible to extend it - it may even feel better than reg elbow grip. gonna go try!

Wow Charley looks great. This is one of those moves I pretend I never saw. It always intrigues me, but I never try it. Still probably not going to. lol. Did you attempt to extend it down? Like Elektra is wanting to do? I can't even imagine, for me the back planche is (^&*%*^!.... frustrating.
If I can throw in- after a little experimentation, I've found that the balance is easier when the pole is on the shoulder opposite to your elbow grip arm. I still only made it down about 20 degrees, but hopefully tomorrow I'll have a photo to share.
