Silks at home

So, I've done both silks and hammock at a studio but have silks, pole and hoop at home. I want to hang my silk hammock between 3 studs (permanent vaulted ceiling mount for pole between) ...So basically, 48 inches apart not to stress the middle beam.. is this to wide? I look at it and think it's ok, but most sites say hammock 24 apart on two hook points...any comments?
