Shoe Soles

I bought 2 pairs of Tony Shoes the 1st pair a while ago and the soles were almost too slippery but over time are now perfect. The 2nd pair I got today: http://liquiddreams.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=LD&Category_Code=5_Inch_Heel I really like them but the soles are too grippy and I can't twirl around the pole. Has anyone had this problem? The other shoes that were slippery became more grippy the more I used them but I want these ones to be less grippy. Any solutions? Thanks :)

Oh yeah. My chunky shoes are slick, but my stilettos are sticky. you just gotta go with it.

Yes, my shoes were very grippy at first, and the advice I got was to just keep breaking them in. They seem perfect now. Also, you can put a few strips of tape on the grippy part maybe?

Thanks for the tips guys. I will try to break them in. Just in case anyone else is having the same problem and wants an instant solution: I read on a ballroom dance forum that adhesive mole skin found in walgreens or walmart makes them slippery on floors.

Aloha...I have to dance on carpet and all of my shoes have a very grippy bottom which makes me face plant or twist my ankle when I wear them and try to dance. Specifically, which shoes are slick on the bottom? Instead of it being rubbery, I need shoes with more plastic on the bottom. Brand and style, as well as where you got them would be helpful!! Mahalo! I tape all my shoes I wear on carpet. There is no way to be fkuid with grippy shoes and carpet. Tape helps so much.

i've had one of my clients come to me recently with this issue and there are two solutions: put sticky contact paper on the soles to make them slippery on carpet, or dedicate one pair of shoes for your carpet dancing by removing the rubber completely from the soles. That will make them work on the carpet much better.
