I got my pole and I am afraid I won't be able to get my shoes anytime soon. It's kind of upsetting, I have checked the adult stores, malls, every store that sells shoes I think, I nope nothing. So I am not sure what to do, kind of wish there were a santa clause LOL. ahhh.. what did you all wear when you didn't have these shoes? 😢

...i never wear shoes when i dance.
I never allow students to learn in heels and I never try any new moves in heels myself. The added instability, no matter how much you are use to wearing heels, is not worth the risk of trying to learn something with unstable footing. Walk on the balls of your feet and learn in bare feet or flat dance shoes so that your secure until you learn the balance and stability needed for various moves. Admittedly I tend to dance more gracefully once I have heels on but I don't do moves I am unsure of when I dance in heels either.
I dance mostly barefoot too. You don't have to have shoes 😀
Oh ahhh thanks guys, you made me feel better!! I practice all the time in barefeet, if i try to put on high heels or something i feel un comfy. 😉

Yep, I'm another barefoot dancer, I love my heels but I'm currently too clumsy to dance in them lol!! Barefoot can look just as graceful so don't worry 🙂
The only time I dance in shoes if is we are out at a club and they happen to have a pole. I will say though my balance has been off on some tricks due to the weight of the shoes (I mostly wear boots).

Add me to the barefoot camp too. I agree with Gsylass - bare feet can look just as graceful, as long as you remember to point your toes!
I live in shoes and boots...I think they make my legs look MUCH better lol...plus I am so short I like being taller 😀

Bare feet is where it's at! Point your toes and use the balls of your feet. By using the muscles in your legs more, it'll shape your legs up really nice and you don't have to be afraid of breaking an ankle. 😀

I just got my new shoes in the mail, and I must say they are VERY scary!!! I, for the most part, pole barefooted, but I have started poling in my boots a little more (5 1/2" heels) and these new heels are 6".. I can walk fine in them, but the second I step on carpet I feel like I'm going to lose it!! LOL! I feel like poling barefoot and on my tip toes (when I remember) has really built up my calves 🙂 Although I'm in love with my new heels b/c I think they are so sexy, they are quite intimidating!! I never thought I'd say that, esp when I'm okay in 4" heels, but something about that other 2 inches is scary! Haha. 🤔
I wear heels, pointe shoes, and do go barefoot. I like to change it up all the time. I have just now gotten shoes w/the skinner heel. Ive always been afraid of the breaking when I wear them b/c of my size. I love putting on my pointe shoes and doing stuff on pointe. But you can still be amazing in barefeet!

these new heels are 6".. I can walk fine in them, but the second I step on carpet I feel like I'm going to lose it!! LOL! Hi rms3f! Don't feel bad. Platforms are VERY hard to dance/walk in on carpet because the carpet is squishy and gives. Shorter heels and platforms are easier since your ankles can adjust for the give of the carpet. In my experience, anything 6" or taller are hard to wear on carpet because you have to step straight onto the shoe to keep your ankle from twisting. I actully put a hard plastic mat around my pole so I can dance in my shoes better. 🙂 Good luck with your new, pretty shoes! 🤸

The song is Snuff by Slipknot, my husband suggested it and im thinking of letting see the video early as a xmas gift before I put it on youtube. I have to say I stole (or permently borrowed) the idea from a stripper I saw at a bar. She had her pointe shoes, a long romantic tutu and topless. It was for me, pretty.

That was my last performance of the night and I was so exhuasted but I kept my chin up!
I recently put foam mats under my pole and decided to try a few things last night. Needless to say I almost killed myself coming out of a straight edge because when I came down the foam gave and I tripped. Not a pleasant experience!

Very nice! Are pointe shoes very slippy when climbing? I just might go see if I can find mine. Thanks for sharing! Not really, I made sure the ribbon was close to my ankle, I most hold w/my calfs and my thighs. Also with the top of my foot exposed that helps as well.

i think its amazing when girls can dance in heels; i used to wear 4 inch knee high boots when id dance in the troupe i was in, but that wasn't pole dancing, and even then i had a hard time. so its bare feet for me all the way!! 🙂
