I have been having some heart problems lately that seem more prevalent with activity and I cant imagine being up on my pole and having an "episode" and falling so I guess I have to say goodbye to my pole and I am so upset, not to mention my love of roller coasters and thrill rides and my dream of one day sky diving are all gone also. I am just so sad and angry 🙁 😢 😠

Oh, I'm so sad to hear this news 🙁 Is there any way that you can still pole dance without the inverting?It's still just as beautiful and theraputic without all the tricks.Maybe?I'm sending you big hugs!!!XOXO

Don't give up your pole just because you (may) be more limited in what you can do!! You can have amazing artistry, as well as a great workout with out climbing, inverting, etc. Also, work with your doctor! Let him know you are an active person and don't want to give that up. It sounds like you are having electrical issues w/ your heart. There are great treatment options out there including medications and minimally invasive surgical procedures which can treat or even cure heart rhythm issues. I worked in the cardiology field for 5 years, and saw some great things! One was a nurse who had been having issues w/ a high heart rate -- to the point she was passing out at work. She was cured -- yeah, CURED, in literally 3 seconds. Of course there was all the prep and recovery time, but I was amazed! Best of luck to you!! so my EKG showed this http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/dci/Diseases/qt/qt_whatis.html and now we just need to know why it is happening and what my outlook is. I really hope I can resume my normal activities one day soon

The condition itself is usually hereditary but can be caused by certain meds and illnesses. Take this very seriously as I'm sure you are. Until your physician decides what meds to put you on to treat or whether you're gonna need surgical intervention-kinda like an internal pacemaker-REST. I know you love pole, we all do but heed your dr's advice. Even a slow day on the pole can raise your heart rate enough to make you faint. Again I'm so sorry you have to go through this. I am definitely taking it easy I am far to dizzy and winded just walking around my house so I would not dare try to exercise or do any pole work. it just makes me so mad that I try to be healthier and active and I am doing well then out of the blue this happens and I am sidelined from workouts. blah 😐 thanks for the hugs
